NovaSpeech LLC was founded in 2004 for the purpose of developing next-generation speech technologies and related educational materials. The company is headed by Dr. Susan Hertz, who functions as its President and Chief Scientist, and manages the company's daily operations.

Building on linguistic and perceptual speech models developed by Dr. Hertz and her collaborators over some thirty years, NovaSpeech is currently exploring and developing exciting new cutting-edge technologies for speech synthesis, encoding, recognition, and splicing. Underlying all of this work is a knowledge-based approach and a set of core innovations for which the company is seeking patents.

Our research and development projects build on our team's extensive experience and expertise in multi-language and multi-voice speech synthesis, speech perception, linguistics, digital signal processing, acoustic phonetics, software development, and speech product development and marketing.
